Dear Readers,

On behalf of the entire team at Campus Connect, I would like

to extend a warm thank you for your support and response for

our 1st edition. Your feedback and encouragement have been

invaluable to us, and we are humbled by the positive response

to our publication.

In this edition, we have focused specifically on Joint Degree

Programs and their USP. The featured article is written by

Mayank Kumar, the creator of upGrad. It explores the ongoing

difficulties faced by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in

India and how the upGrad Campus team is working to address

them.

In addition to this, we have included Case Studies of our

Partner Institutions and their successful implementation

of Joint Degree (JD) Programs. We have also included a

dedicated section on our placements featuring the success

stories of some students who have secured job offers through

our various programs and all the efforts that go into making

students interview and job ready. This time Campus Crossword

Dear Institutional Leaders,

On behalf of the entire team at upGrad Campus, I extend my

warmest wishes for the New Year!

As experienced leaders in higher education, you are

undoubtedly aware of the constantly shifting landscape of

academic-industry collaborations. Over the past 2 months,

I’ve had the privilege of meeting with more than 30 University

founders, Vice Chancellors, and Directors. One consensus that

emerged from these discussions was the need for institutions

to prioritize the integration of industry-relevant programs into

their curriculum (such as AI & ML, Data Science, Business

Analytics, and Digital Marketing).

Providing students with the exposure to cutting-edge

fields and industry faculty during their undergraduate or

postgraduate studies can furnish them with a valuable

educational experience, thus securing their careers. This not

only saves time but also enables students to align themselves

with the current demands of the industry.

In this edition, we have decided to showcase the case

studies of the institutions that have partnered with us

for our Joint Degree Programs (JD) across India. It is truly

uplifting to see the level of involvement and commitment

demonstrated by all stakeholders, which reflects the

strong sense of community that we are trying to build of

Next-Gen Institutions.

Specialized job-linked programs provide numerous benefits

not only to the students who pursue them, but also to the

Institutions offering them. These programs can serve as a

competitive advantage for the institutions and distinguish

Every passing day, we are reminded of the growing disparity

between the education offered by colleges and universities

and the constantly evolving job market. It has become

increasingly clear that there is a significant gap between the

knowledge and skills that the industry needs and those that

If left unaddressed, this situation could result in an "everyone
