Ensuring
Safety
In the construction industry, jobsite safety
is a crucial aspect that directly impacts the
well-being of workers and the overall
success of projects.
Indian construction
workforce constitutes
7.5 percent of the global
workforce, but accounts
for 16.5 percent of the
fatal global occupational
accidents.
At Hilti, ensuring safety is our foremost
mission. We go above and beyond to foster
a safety-oriented culture by providing a
variety of workshops, training programs,
and awareness campaigns. These initiatives
aim to educate end users, organizations,
and industry bodies about the importance
of implementing industry-approved safety
practices. We firmly believe that by arming
individuals with the requisite knowledge and
skills to prioritize safety, we can effectively
prevent accidents and foster a more secure
building environment for everyone. Our
dedication to professionalism and our
commitment to enhancing building and jobsite
safety distinguish us within the industry.
The ABIL Team has been immensely impressed
with Hilti’s exceptional knowledge and unwavering
assistance in helping us understand tested
firestop system solutions. Furthermore, we
commend the team for their dedication to
education. They have gone above and beyond in
educating our entire department through multiple
presentations and site mock-ups.

ABIL Avaanti Residences
How our solution helped
optimize the application
for one of our customer.
Name of the project: ABIL
Avaanti Residences, Pune
Problem faced by the customer:
Our team of experts identified several challenges
faced by customer, including using conventional
and non-tested systems, budgeting, low
confidence in firestopping application, lack of
awareness on codes and standards, and the need
for relevant safety and documentation compliances. This was
due to the weak regulatory compliances where fire NOC could
have been achieved with basic application of firestop mortar
and in some cases even the installation of checkered plate.
But the building would have remained unsafe to the end users
including construction workers because of the
above-mentioned challenges.
Hilti’s expert solution that aided safety:
Our team conducted a thorough ON!Site Survey and
proposed customized firestopping solutions aligned with
UL Testing standards. To showcase the effectiveness of
our approach, we conducted mock-ups at the jobsite for
each service shaft, including electrical, plumbing, and fire-
fighting shafts. These mock-ups demonstrated the successful
implementation of solutions, as per the UL System Certificate,
while also highlighting the value of proper documentation
compliances through our ON!Site Documentation service
based on Hilti cloud based CFS-DM Software.
Recognizing the presence of non-standard openings at the
site, we established the need for our Engineering Judgement
service. This service ensured that even unique openings
receive the appropriate firestopping solutions. Additionally,
our ON!Site Documentation service, based on NBC E7 clause,
streamlines the inspection process during NOC and fire safety
audits, making it faster and more efficient.
In line with our philosophy of only providing Tested
Firestop Systems we didn’t settle for short term
insignificant gains with Non-Tested Firestop System for one
of our customers' projects. We took the painstaking path of
again explaining the customer the perils of using a non-tested
system and we were successful in elevating the customer to
Tested Firestop Systems for one of their Residential Project.
We elevated the customers thinking not only did we speak
about tested fire stop system but we also created a good
platform for further elevation by getting the customer to
understand and appreciate the importance of Engineering
Judgement Documents, ON!Site Service and 100% Tested
System Solutions.
