t the onset, I wish GSC members, their family & friends Happy New Year.

Notably, as once promised, GSC has been acing the goals set and path

carved towards the betterment of the members. With your support we will

grow progressively. I am delighted to be a part of a dynamic management

which is led by Dr. Vinay Jain - President and CA Sanjay Maloo – Hon. Gen. Secretary.

I earnestly thank all the Founder, Promoter and Governing Council Members for com-

plete guidance and support towards brightening the future of Goregaon Sports Club. I

would like to thank the esteemed members for being compassionate towards the club.

I am honoured to be assigned with the responsibilities of Hon. Treasurer of the club.

Congratulations are on the way to our talented and skilled Arjuna awardee Mr. Chirag

Shetty �or no� �ein� the Wor�d�s �o. � in �ad�inton. We have �itnessed his �ourney

of hard work and focus to make the nation proud. He has given hopes to many young

aspiring sports persons to make a mark in the sports arena.

state of mind, but the true reality, if you pursue and embrace it whole-heartedly.

With transparency as the goal of the administration of the club, we have developed

honest ﬁ nancia� practices in Gore�aon Sports C�u�. �s a �ro�in� �rand� GSC has

�een the over� o�in� �ith �innin� success stories in the sports and cu�tura� arena

in the suburbs.

We strictly maintain our system for swift and easy transactions and payment pro-

cesses in the club. Our system of payment approvals with signatures of concerned

sta�� s� Chair�an� C�� nterna� �uditors� �on. �t. �reasurer� �GS and the ﬁ na�

approval of the Hon. Treasurer which has been constantly smooth and appreciated

by our vendors and stake holders.

�nvest�ent in ﬁ �ed deposits and �erpetua� �onds �as tota��in� to Rs. ��.�� crores

as o� ��st �arch� �� and has increased to Rs ��.�� crores as o� ��st �arch ��

even a�ter renovation� as co�pared to annua� revenue o� Rs �.�� crore in ��.

�o�ever� there is a decrease o� overa�� Rs. �.�� crores in �nvest�ent at �an� due

to �aintenance o� �o�er �an� �a�ance as co�pared to �ast ﬁ nancia� year ��.

�ur �nnua� �ccounts sho� a short�a�� o� Rs.�.�� crores a�ter accountin� �or Repairs

and Maintenance costs of Rs.5.35 crores, regular expenses like Salaries (increased

as per agreement), mega events, festivities such as HOLI, New Year Bash etc.

Finally, as I had quoted in the earlier edition, “Financial Literacy is a knowledge

you will never lose.” I conclude and commit towards the progressive improvement of

the c�u� throu�h ﬁ nancia� �iteracy and �no��ed�e.
