This role has been established to further strengthen our academic programs, streamline

operations, and ensure seamless coordination across the CBSE and Cambridge curricula. The

leaders of both divisions will report to the Executive Principal, ensuring a unified vision for the

school. We are delighted to introduce Mr. Venkata Suresh Lolla, who assumed this role last

month. Mr. Lolla has a distinguished career spanning over 25 years in education, with expertise

as a Physics teacher and leadership roles in both India and the UAE. As an experienced educator,

he has consistently demonstrated his passion for innovative teaching methods and student-

centered learning.

Mr. Lolla’s achievements are both impressive and diverse. He was instrumental in the founding

of GCIS and has played a pivotal role in shaping its academic framework. During his tenure, he

has led various initiatives, including the integration of STEAM-based learning, the introduction of

entrepreneurship programs, and the implementation of learner-centered pedagogies, such as

integrating Theatre & Storytelling into language teaching.

On a global level, Mr. Lolla has forged meaningful collaborations with international institutions.

His efforts have led to partnerships with schools and organizations in countries such as Finland,

Russia, Turkey, and Australia. Under his leadership, GCIS has hosted successful student exchange

programs and academic collaborations with global institutions, enriching our students' learning

experiences and fostering cultural exchange.

With Mr. Lolla’s leadership, we look forward to continuing our journey toward academic

excellence, nurturing global citizens, and creating a safe, stimulating environment for our

students to thrive. His global vision and dedication will undoubtedly elevate GCIS to new heights.

We are excited about the future of GCIS under his guidance and look forward to your continued

support in this endeavor.

Warm Regards,

R. Jayapal

President

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Greetings of the day!

It is always a pleasure to connect with you and

share the exciting developments at GCIS. In line

with our commitment to academic excellence

and continuous improvement, we are pleased to

announce the creation of a new leadership

position at the school—Executive Principal.

In line with our commitment to academic excellence, we have been focusing on active teaching

and learning strategies that encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and practical application

of knowledge. Our grade 1 students recently enhanced their Hindi language skills by creatively

learning Swar (vowels) through hands-on activities, like crafting flower petals, merging

creativity with language learning. Similarly, Grade 3 students constructed food chain models to

deepen their understanding of ecosystems while improving their problem-solving and

presentation skills.

Our dedication to holistic development is reflected in the achievements of our students in co-

curricular activities. I am proud to share that our U-12 girls and U-13 and U-17 boys football

teams secured 1st place in the Chinmaya Vidyalaya Football Tournament. These victories are a

testament to our students’ dedication, both in academics and extracurricular pursuits.

We are also enhancing the learning environment by upgrading resources and tools to better

support our teachers and students. This includes integrating technology and enriching our

curriculum to ensure that each child receives a well-rounded education. The success of activities

like Cygnus 2.0, our interschool fest, where students across various disciplines showcased their

talents, further highlights the diverse capabilities of our student body.

As we move forward, we remain dedicated to your child's academic progress and overall

development. Your support, as always, plays a pivotal role in helping us achieve these goals.

Thank you for your continued trust in GCIS.

Respectfully

Venkata Suresh Lolla

Global City International School

Dear Parents,

I hope this message finds you well. It feels

wonderful

to

be

back

at

Global

City

International School in an executive role, having

had the privilege of serving as principal here a

few years ago. I would also like to extend my

heartfelt thanks to all those who sent me warm

greetings as I resumed my journey with this

incredible community. Your support means a

great deal to me.

Well, if this was anything to go by, the least we could do was to be careful with our words,

mindful of their impact. Do we do that? How many of us actually pause, think and reflect, if our

words really helped? Man is supposed to be a creature of intelligence. But today, we seem to have

become creatures of provocation. At the slightest of discomfort, displeasure or dissatisfaction, we

don’t think twice before adopting the no holds barred approach. However, none of us wants to be

at the receiving end of it!

It's only as long as we are the ones giving our piece of mind, is when we don’t mind. But, once we

get the short end of the stick, it hurts. Then we get reminded of words like sensitivity,

compassion, empathy. Whatever happened to kindness, we think. To err is human, and mistakes

will happen. Restraint needs to be exercised while addressing those errors. But how many of us

remember it when we are in that exercising position? It's all about reflection dear readers.

Teachers need to reflect, students need to reflect, parents need to reflect. Man, as a social entity

needs to reflect.

On a lighter note, if words maketh a man, what about Women :))

Well, words maketh a Human!! Happy reading; until we meet again!

Ms. Pooja NP

Words Maketh a Man

From the Principal's desk:

Since time immemorial we have been

reminded about the power of words, be

it in our text book lessons, phrases or

anecdotes. Words have been compared

to swords, balm, and other agents of

similarly

potent

magnitude.

The

outreach of a creative wordsmith is akin

to the rays of sun, if not more. “Jahan na

pahunche

Ravi

(The

Sun),

vahan

pahunche Kavi (The poet), is how it

goes! Where even the sun won’t reach, a

poet would; is what it means.

India's 78th Independence Day was marked with an array of vibrant activities that celebrated the

nation's rich heritage and fostered community spirit. Children dressed up as famous

personalities from India's history, paying homage to the leaders and heroes who contributed to

the country's independence. These young participants brought history to life, donning costumes

and reciting speeches that highlighted the contributions of figures like Mahatma Gandhi, and

Rani Lakshmibai.

Alongside this, tri-color cooking competitions added a flavorful dimension to the celebrations,

infusing the event with culinary creativity and cultural pride. Participants were challenged to

create dishes that prominently featured the colors of the national flag, sparking a vibrant display

of gastronomic artistry.

Public speaking competitions also took center stage, providing a platform for individuals to

express their thoughts on patriotism, freedom, and the progress of the nation. These activities

not only honored the significance of Independence Day but also instilled a sense of pride and

belonging among participants and spectators alike.
