INTRODUCTION TO NEET UG
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an All India Level entrance exam for
Medical, Dental and Ayush Courses conducted by National Testing Agency(NTA). The NEET
Exam is generally held on the first Sunday of May month every year. The exam is pen and
paper-based, lasting 3 hours and 20mins. NEET is one such exam that saw 20,87,462
candidates registering from across the globe to seek admission in MBBS, BDS, and Ayush
seats in Government, Private, and Deemed colleges across India.
The NTA publishes the results and allots All India Rank to the candidates. Students who
clear the NEET 2023 exam will be eligible to apply for admission to
58 MBBS Seats in
1,08,7
703 Medical Colleges and 28,088 BDS Seats in 329 Dental Colleges.
Categories of seat allotment under NEET:
A�er qualifying the NEET UG exam, candidates can apply and claim seats under the
following categories
Only Candidates who clear the minimum percentile and obtain qualifying scores will
be eligible for admission through NEET.
