Dear Readers,
Bombay Stock Exchange Brokers’ Forum (BBF)
2022 has been a year of far-reaching significance for the development
of our country. Amid the turmoil of the international financial markets
and slow economic recovery around the world, India has maintained
its rapid economic growth, deepened reforms in various areas and
improved profitability for enterprises. It also led the world in attracting
foreign direct investments, which demonstrated the strong desirability
of India’s economic growth.
The year 2023 for the Indian Capital Markets industry is passing
through a phase that is both challenging and exciting. There are robust
growth opportunities for various business verticals. The regulatory
measures put in place over the last few years have led to a substantial
improvement in compliance parameters and are laying foundation for
new opportunities for the Trading Members fraternity.
We believe that uncertainties can offer much opportunity to propel
forward, and our success today is the result of us becoming much
more agile as an association. We have been leveraging our
understanding of our members towards innovative business offerings
and supporting in strengthening the various compliance policies and
procedures.
Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and
struggle. BBF is known for being stringent, pragmatic, prudent,
trustworthy, and innovative; we are confident that with our clear
strategic focus, enhanced execution, and efficient team, we shall
continue to deliver results for our Members in the future. We at BBF are
optimistic and high-spirited in confronting the new challenges, and we
shall seize the opportunities and work earnestly to compose the
glorious new chapters in the transformation of our Member fraternity in
particular and for the overall growth of the Indian Capital Markets.
I’m inspired by the incredible work showcased in this publication. This
edition pays tribute to the “WOMEN” - a force to be reckoned with and
the glue that holds generations together. This power-packed
compilation is getting circulated across policymakers and the
entrepreneurial ecosystem around the world; it is not a conclusive list -
it is an effort narrative, sharing the perspectives of these Global
Women Entrepreneurs, Founders, and Heads. I extend my sincere
gratitude to all the contributors of this edition.
We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the many
contributions, dedication, and commitment of all our members, which
makes BBF so successful. Our sincere appreciation to the regulators,
market infrastructure institutions, and government authorities; many
thanks for all the support that they continue to extend.
