SPRING ISSUE
EDITOR OF KIDS-ZONE.CH
I love Spring time… full of the promise of new beginnings longer nights
and fun in the sun to come. Particularly living here the place comes alive
as the weather improves. Usually by Easter I am ready to hang up the skis
and move on to jumping into the lake… but often the weather isn’t quite in
step with my wishes. We are helping you think ahead... Check out our
directory of Easter Camps in these pages - you might want to get
Summer ready with some intensive Swim Lessons with Red Whale?
March, April, May can also be a bit of a holding pattern until the weather
gets hot hot. Our events pages have loads of ideas of things to get
booking...
The main them of the issue is LEARNING THROUGH PLAY... We have got some amazing
contributions on this fascinating subject eg. how Ecolint use this approach in early years. We have
some positive parenting tips from Our Parenting Journeys with some practical ideas that can help
to transition our little ones and keep things fun.
I love that Mary from Simply Wellbeing take on this theme is that play = fun = happiness and so
even if your kids aren’t playing so much anymore the idea of making time for “what brings you joy” is
still super relevant.
We have some fantastic play at home ideas bring to life some opportunities for learning through play
- eg. InterSoccer has put together a few skills to practise with your budding soccer stars.
Oh and keeping with the Easter theme ... in this issue we have created a little Easter Egg Hunt
through the magazine - there are 11 eggs to find - send us an email if you find them all and work out
the anagram to info@kids-zone.ch and we will send an actual easter egg to one of you...

The seasons are changing soon... and we are all for it... The bunches of
daffodils, Easter get-togethers, planning for warmers days, walks and
getting out to some events outside without needing 17 layers just in
case. Here is what we are looking forward to...

We all want to help our kids build life skills like resilience &
help nurture their creativity – but did you think that PLAYING
was one of the key ways that we as parents can support kids
in gaining those skills.
