ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hello!
VOLUME 2: ABOUT THE AUTHOR
DRIVEN BY GRACE®
Hello! My name is Lindsey Carroll, and I am the creator
of Driven By Grace®. I am married to my best friend,
Brendon, and we have been blessed with three
beautiful children together — Easton, Aubrie, and
Camden. Before you start this guide, I'd love to share a
little about my testimony and our family to help you
understand my background and how I began writing
Bible study resources.
First and foremost, I am a believer in Christ, seeking to
know the Lord, His Word, and sharing what I learn with
others. I believe God put this desire in my heart to
teach others about Him through my Bible study
creations. I am merely trying to obey the ideas God has
put on my heart and trust in His purpose for it all.
In October 2019, I left my 7-year marketing career to become a stay-at-home mom. I loved my
job, but I felt like the Lord was calling me to stay home with my kids. After pushing that voice
aside for an entire year, I finally decided to obey the Lord. Coming home was the best decision I
made for my family. That first step of obedience led me to start homeschooling my children,
which then led to the creation of Driven By Grace®. The Lord has graciously guided my family on
a path that is far better than what we had envisioned for ourselves.
I created this Bible study to help my children and other families build a solid foundation and
understanding of the Word of God. I hope this study helps parents feel confident in teaching
their children the Bible. I also pray this study helps children desire to learn more about their
Creator and Savior.
I'm passionate about raising a generation that knows the truth by studying the Bible for
themselves. Teaching our children the Bible is the most important investment we can make as
parents, and I'm grateful to be able to offer a resource to help with that calling!
All glory to God,
A NOTE TO THE PARENTS

WHAT IS THE ACTIVITY BOOK?
This activity book is a complementary guide to the Foundations of the Bible: Volume 2 Teacher’s
Guide. If you are in Classical Conversations, this resource pairs with the Cycle 2 optional Bible
memory work. The activity book includes eight worksheets for each lesson to help with review.
HOW TO USE THIS ACTIVITY BOOK:
Ages 4-8 (Foundations):
For this age group, focus on memorizing the short Bible memory sentences. The goal for this age
is to simply introduce the information. Treat the teacher’s guide like a read-aloud and let them
color the activity pages while they listen. The narration journal is a great tool for kids to draw a
picture of what they learned at the end of each lesson. The child or parent can write down the
child’s description of their drawing.
Ages 9-11 (Essentials):
For this age group, focus on reading the teacher’s guide aloud and having the child complete
the coloring, crosswords, and word puzzle activities. Each activity reiterates keywords from the
lesson to help with memorization. The narration page is great for drawing a picture of what
stood out from the lesson and describing their picture for comprehension. With the help of a
parent, the child can also answer the writing prompt to think deeper about the Bible lesson.
Ages 12+ (Challenge):
This age group should be able to comprehend the story and begin to think critically about what
they are learning. In addition to the activity pages, the writing prompt at the end of each lesson
is a great way to help older students think deeper about the Bible memory work. I encourage
you to have your children do the Bible reading listed in the teacher’s guide. Let them learn God’s
story through His Word.
WHAT'S THE GOAL?
Of course, the most important thing is that we teach our children God’s Word and make it a
priority in their lives from a young age. Through continuous teaching, kids will learn and
comprehend more of God’s story each time they read it. The hope is that by teaching our kids
the complete story of the Bible, they will grow a hunger to keep learning so they can confidently
share the gospel with others!
