SHAPING FUTURES, INSPIRING FAITH

Our story began in 1978 in Opelousas, where we opened our doors in a small

church with K3 and K4 classes. As we grew, so did our mission to provide

Christ-centered education, expanding into a full K3-12th grade campus.

In 1989, we brought this vision to Lafayette, meeting the growing demand for

faith-based education in the area. Beginning with lower grade levels, our

Lafayette campus steadily expanded, and in 2019, we celebrated the opening of

our Upper School. This addition established a comprehensive K3-12th grade

program, reflecting our commitment to academic excellence and spiritual

growth.

MISSION

STATEMENT

The mission of Westminster

Christian Academy is to assist

parents in educating their

children by imparting God's

truth to transform society in

present and future

generations.

WHY A

CHRISTIAN

SCHOOL

Choosing the right school for your child is a

profound decision. At Westminster Christian

Academy, we believe that a Christian education

provides an environment that nurtures the whole

child—academically, spiritually, socially, and

emotionally.

Grounded in Faith & Values

In a Christian school, students are immersed in an

environment where biblical principles and values

are central. Our mission is to help children

develop a strong moral foundation, instilling our

core values of love, truth and service. A Christian

education provides stability, offering timeless

virtues that guide students in today’s ever-

changing world.

Academic Excellence with Purpose

At Westminster, we pursue academic excellence

with a higher purpose. Our BJU Press curriculum

fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and

a love of learning, all within a biblical worldview.

We challenge students to excel not just for grades

but to develop their God-given talents, preparing

them to serve and make a difference in the world.

Developing Identity & Purpose

Christian education encourages students to

discover their identity in Christ and understand

their unique gifts. By cultivating a sense of

purpose, we build confidence in students as they

learn who they are and what they are called to do,

grounding their self-worth in God’s love and plan

for their lives.

Preparing for Life Beyond the Classroom

A Christian education prepares students for life,

not just academics. Through a biblical framework,

students learn to make wise decisions, face

challenges, and navigate relationships with

integrity. Our graduates leave Westminster ready

to face the world confidently, guided by their faith

and values.

Our goal is to nurture a deep, lasting faith that

students carry beyond Westminster. Through

chapel, Bible studies, and spiritual growth

programs, students strengthen their relationship

with God and learn to live out biblical teachings,

equipping them to make an impact for Christ.

PRESCHOOL

WCA Lafayette has been such an amazing school to be

a part of. We have all five of our grandbabies here and

could not be happier. Every teacher has gone above and

beyond to protect the success and well-being of our

children. Being on campus feels like home, and we are

all part of the same village helping to raise the next

generation. Definitely one of the most influential

decisions we’ve ever made!

CURRICULUM

HIGHLIGHTS

The Westminster Christian Academy preschool program

offers a warm, Christ-centered environment where young

minds thrive. We believe that a love for learning starts early,

and our preschool is dedicated to nurturing each child’s

unique potential. Through hands-on activities, engaging

lessons, and play-based learning, we encourage curiosity,

creativity, and independence—qualities that help each child

grow both academically and spiritually.

Our skilled teachers are passionate about fostering a sense of

wonder and guiding children in their first steps toward

lifelong learning. Bible stories, songs, and daily prayer help

build a foundation in faith, while activities in language, math,

art, and science introduce core concepts in fun, age-

appropriate ways. Our program also promotes social skills

through group activities that teach teamwork, respect, and

kindness.

Each day at Westminster is filled with opportunities for

exploration, discovery, and joyful growth. Whether they’re

using building blocks or working with playdough to develop

their motor skills, discovering colors during Color Week, or

exploring nature, our preschoolers are developing the talents,

confidence, and values they’ll carry forward in their

educational journey. Our program welcomes young learners

into a nurturing space where their love for learning, faith, and

friendships can flourish.

LOWER SCHOOL

Ever since transitioning Jolie from public school to WCA, it has been nothing short of a blessing.

WCA's family-oriented atmosphere is unlike anything we've experienced at any other school. The

staff and parents welcomed us with open arms, making us feel like we've been part of the community

from the start.

As a mother, it’s a breath of fresh air to see Jolie surrounded by Christ-centered families and

receiving a faith-based education. I've noticed a wonderful shift in her attitude and personality—

she's becoming a better friend, daughter, and sister, all thanks to the selfless foundation she’s

building at WCA.

to take on new challenges and celebrate their

accomplishments. From interactive science experiments and
