President’s Message
Dear Valued Clients,
Welcome to the Winter edition of the WRG Connections newsletter. As we look back on 2024, we have many exciting
updates to share, with more to come in 2025!
First, Wescom Resources Group would not exist without our loyal credit union clients. Today, I’m proud to announce
our newest UNITRI managed services clients, North Iowa Community Credit Union, Police Federal Credit Union,
Peninsula Community Federal Credit Union, and Security First Federal Credit Union. Welcome to the WRG family
and thank you for trusting us to serve your technology needs!
Last year we continued our ongoing infrastructure enhancement projects. We migrated additional UNITRI Core Hosting
for Keystone clients from IBM AIX P-Series servers to Red Hat Linux-based servers, providing superior system response-
time and redundancy.
To support our mission of providing clients with the most reliable, eficient, and responsive back-ofice technology
support in the industry, we recently added to our team of world-class credit union technology and client service experts.
Please join me in welcoming Brittany Trinh, Client Services Coordinator I, Ben Wright, Account Manager, and Lorenzo
Murillo IV, Sofware Implementation Analyst to the WRG team. Learn some fun facts about each of them (including
whose favorite food is Korean barbecue) in this edition.
If you’re interested in learning more about how emerging technology like generative AI and robotic process automation
(RPA) will impact credit unions in the future, check out this recent podcast interview with Joseph Pellissery and
Jonathon Allen, members of the Wescom Credit Union senior leadership team. Pellissery was also interviewed on the
CU Times’ “Shared Accounts” podcast in December.
In this edition, we also share news about our upcoming Spring conference appearances, and our recent Wescom
Foundation Holiday Giving Drive in support of two worthy local community organizations, A Place Called Home and
House of Ruth.
Lastly, as I reflect on another successful year, I wish to personally thank you—our loyal clients and industry partners—
for your ongoing support. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with your thoughts, feedback, and constructive ideas.
We are committed to providing secure, reliable technology support and service excellence in our quest to serve credit
unions’ ongoing and evolving technology needs.
Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Dave Cerwinski

Recent Podcasts Highlight WRG’s Approach to Innovation
Joseph Pellissery, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Oficer at Wescom
recently appeared on CU Times’ “Shared Accounts” podcast, during which he
discussed the evolving impact of AI on financial services, and the importance of
continuous investment in technology to stay ahead of the curve.
“Wescom has always been a leader when it comes to technology,” Pellissery remarked.
“Not only because of the technology capabilities [we provide] for our members, but
also because of WRG. We serve other credit unions, manage their data, and host their
core systems. If you look at our overall budget, there is a lot of expense associated with
technology, to make sure we are always innovating.”
Pellissery also recently appeared with fellow Wescom Credit Union executive Jonathon
Allen, Senior Vice President and President of Wescom Financial Services on a podcast titled “Transforming Credit
Unions With AI & Automation.” The leaders discussed how centralized technology and innovation are reshaping the
credit union landscape, including the use of emerging tools like generative AI and robotic process automation (RPA) to
automate repetitive tasks and save staf time and resources.
In addition, Pellissery shared how WRG enhances security for all our credit union clients with dedicated operational
support and best-in-breed data security protocols.
“Trust with security, stability, and data recovery is at the core of what we deliver to credit unions,” Pellissery says.
You can catch both podcast episodes on demand on all major streaming platforms.
The WRG team enjoys a moment together at Wescom Credit Union’s October 2024 SuperSTAR meeting. The annual celebration is an opportunity for the Credit
Union’s 950-plus employees from California and across the country to gather and celebrate Wescom’s innovative mission, culture, and values.

Proudly Serving Our Community
This year, Wescom Credit Union and WRG participated in the Wescom Foundation’s annual Holiday Giving Drive. In
October and November Wescom organized the collection of games, toys, and gif cards for donation to the Foundation’s
Signature Grantees, A Place Called Home and House of Ruth.
As part of Wescom’s Technology Team, also known as “Team Joseph,” WRG helped collect a total of 92 items for
donation. Our team’s giving theme for this year is board games—which we believe encourages essential skills like
teamwork, critical thinking, social interaction, strategizing, and family bonding. We’re proud of our team’s participation
in this event each year, and our ongoing commitment to supporting those most in need.
In other community service news, Wescom team members Tamar Atamian and Joseph Pellissery won the People’s
Choice Award at for the Inland Empire and Orange County Network of the California Credit Union League’s “Dancing with
the Credit Union Stars” on November 14, 2024, at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium.
Their incredible eforts resulted in the most dollars raised for the Richard Myles Johnson (RMJ) Foundation and
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, showing just how dedicated they, and Team Wescom, are to making a
diference. The RMJ Foundation promotes credit union education through programs such as Bite of Reality®, a hands-on
app-based simulation designed to provide teens with a taste of real-world financial scenarios.
Just a few of the donated items collected for the Wescom Foundation’s
Holiday Giving Drive.
