FOR NEXT YEAR
Dear Viking Families,
As we close out our last day of this school year, my heart is full.
Watching each of our classes celebrate their learning in their own
special way, was a gift of pure HOPEFUL JOY for every person who was
in attendance. This last week of school certainly reminded us all of the
incredible personal growth and awesome learning that has happened for
each Viking, students and adults, on campus this year. In order to
realize these accomplishments, our Vikings have had to live out the
virtues of PATIENCE, perseverance, resilience, determination, service,
and mercy. These personal achievements bring us closer to God not
because of the achievement itself, but because of the faith lessons that
we have learned along the way and the lives which have been affected
because we shared these experiences with them. Let’s all cherish these
lessons and moments and accomplishments, and continue to be
FAITHFUL in PRAYER and reflect on what God has planned for each of
us by asking Him to guide us on every step of our journey to Heaven.
Our Viking family is certainly the best! Thank you all for being a part of
it. We are blessed with the best and look forward to the future of our
family! Have a blessed, safe, & peaceful summer, Vikings! We love you!

St. Joan of Arc Catholic School - LaPlace, LA
Vikings in Action
Our Early Childhood Vikings enjoyed their last
day outside splashing around, playing with
bubbles, and celebrating their growth. The
one-year-olds and their loved ones enjoyed a
sweet sendoff Monday. Pre-school 2, Pre-
school 3, and Pre-K 4 took to the stage
Tuesday to show off their dance moves and
sang songs about the fun things they’ve
learned this year.
Frogstreet Friends
Mrs. Lexi’s Kindergarteners were beaming as
they processed into the gym Tuesday donning
their royal blue graduation caps. They proudly
crowned Mary and led the Pledge of
Allegiance and prayer. They performed their
hearts out as the members of the audience
smiled from ear to ear and captured the
exciting milestone. The icing on the cake was
the friendliest embraces from their teachers
as they received their certificates.
Kindergarten Graduation
First grade continued the tradition of their
year-end Celebration of Learning. Each
student recites a poem in front of their peers
and loved ones. This event introduces them to
public speaking, while making it as fun as
possible! They followed the performance with
a showcase of their work from this school
year.

Author’s Party
The second graders are published authors!
"We host a publishing party for our young
writers to celebrate their growth and
achievements,” Mrs. Juneau said. “Not only do
we showcase their beautifully published
books, but we also display their writing
journey from beginning to end. This gives
students a chance to see how much they’ve
learned and how far they've come. It’s always
the highlight of our school year—and their
proud smiles make all the hard work
worthwhile!"

Award Ceremony
All of our Vikings certainly deserve to be
celebrated for their hard work this school
year, and we did just that! At Friday’s award
ceremony, choir members and altar servers
received service awards, students were
awarded for their academic excellence, and
two Vikings from each homeroom received
Christian character awards. We also
congratulated Mrs. Candice as she will
become Dr. Sorapuru after her graduation
this weekend. Even our faculty members were
recognized for their dedication and
commitment to being lifelong learners
themselves. What an example they are for
our Vikings! The ceremony ended with a
heartfelt “thank you” to Father David for
being the incredible Paster that he has been
for SJA. Once a Viking, always a Viking!
