“Even some small act of kindness can really
make our day, or even week sometimes!”
Here’s Terri’s process using mixed media to create
beautifully autumnal thank you cards...
made by Terri
Terri used different coloured card stock
and Nuvo mixed media products.
She began with Ginger Pie card with two
different sparkle sprays, using a
homemade box to spray into.
Terri made additional card panels using 4
different shimmer powders, spritzed with water
and Mica mist on top.
Terri laid the panels out once they
were dry to plan out which she
would use for the leaves. She chose
parts of panels that were visually
striking and had a pleasing mixture
of colours and textures.
Top Tip
Don’t be afraid to mix and
match your products! You might
discover a brand new technique
you love the effect of!
Top Tip
To ensure you don’t get glitter or
Mica sparkle on your die cutting
plates, place your die on top
inside a sheet of copy paper,
before placing onto your plates
or into your “sandwich”.
It’s a good idea to die cut all of your leaves at
this point, so that you have freedom to play
around with positioning. Extra die cuts can
always be kept for future projects!
Before adhering any sentiments, it is wise to
stamp any sub, or pre sentiments, due to bulk
from layering. Terri stamped “You Make Me”
using her stamping platform first with black ink,
several times for full coverage.
You can set aside some panels for
backgrounds, which is what Terri has
incorporated into her finished makes.
If you’re like me and have lots of Nuvo mixed media
products but don’t use them often, I hope this inspires you
to have a good look through your supplies and have a play!
Crafty hugs, Terri.
