VOISIN’S CHOCOLATE
At the end of the 19th Century, in 1897, Léon Voisin, an enthusiast entrepreneur and
explorer, travelled around the globe in search of the best cocoa beans. The 3rd and
4th generations of the family Voisin are now running the biggest chocolate family
company driven by the same passion.
They are proud of defending the value of authentic chocolates by perpetuating
the very traditional know-how in their workshop located in Lyon, the capital of
gastronomy. If ongoing innovation is always on their agenda to create new flavours
and textures, the expertise of the hand of man remains fundamental.
Our master chocolatier Voisin earns his reputation with the choice our its ingredients:
Fairtrade cocoa beans, Piedmont hazelnut from Italy, Valencia almond from Spain,
pistachio from Iran for their pralines & crème fraîche Fleurette for their ganaches.

PRALINES
The almonds Valencia from Spain and
Roman hazelnuts Piedmont from Italy, the
first, selected for its delicate flavour, and
the second, for their exceptional aroma, are
roasted gently and thoroughly, and then
dipped carefully into a 110 degree syrup in
a copper cauldron: a traditional method to
bring out most of the aroma thus creating
the authentic “praline à l’ancienne”.
GANACHES
Our chocolatier Voisin distinguishes
itself with its authentic ganache made
with “crème fraîche Fleurette” which
gives its truffles an incredible lightness
and smoothness. This recipe reveals the
prominent flavours of the world-renowned
cocoa beans.
