Global City International School

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Greetings of the day!

It is always a pleasure to connect with you and share the

exciting developments at GCIS. In line with our commitment

to academic excellence and continuous improvement, we are

pleased to announce the creation of a new leadership

position at the school—Executive Principal. This role has

been established to further strengthen our academic

programs, streamline operations, and ensure seamless

coordination across the CBSE and Cambridge curricula. The

leaders of both divisions will report to the Executive

Principal, ensuring a unified vision for the school.

R. Jayapal

President

Mr. Lolla’s achievements are both impressive and diverse. He was instrumental in the founding of

GCIS and has played a pivotal role in shaping its academic framework. During his tenure, he has led

various initiatives, including the integration of STEAM-based learning, the introduction of

entrepreneurship programs, and the implementation of learner-centered pedagogies, such as

integrating Theatre & Storytelling into language teaching.

On a global level, Mr. Lolla has forged meaningful collaborations with international institutions. His

efforts have led to partnerships with schools and organizations in countries such as Finland, Russia,

Turkey, and Australia. Under his leadership, GCIS has hosted successful student exchange programs

and academic collaborations with global institutions, enriching our students' learning experiences

and fostering cultural exchange.

With Mr. Lolla’s leadership, we look forward to continuing our journey toward academic excellence,

nurturing global citizens, and creating a safe, stimulating environment for our students to thrive. His

global vision and dedication will undoubtedly elevate GCIS to new heights.

We are excited about the future of GCIS under his guidance and look forward to your continued

support in this endeavor.

We are delighted to introduce Mr. Venkata Suresh Lolla, who

assumed this role last month.

Mr. Lolla has a distinguished career spanning over 25 years

in education, with expertise as a Physics teacher and

leadership roles in both India and the UAE. As an experienced

educator, he has consistently demonstrated his passion for

innovative teaching methods and student-centered learning.

Dear Valued Parents,

I hope this message finds you well. It feels wonderful to be

back at Global City International School in an executive

principal’s role, having had the privilege of serving as

principal here a few years ago. I am deeply grateful to all

those who sent warm greetings as I resumed my journey with

this incredible community. Your support means a lot, and I

look forward to working together to further elevate our

students' experience at GCIS.

Venkata Suresh Lolla

Executive Principal

Additionally, Grade 6 students showcased their leadership skills by planning a practical budgeting

exercise that integrated Global Perspectives, Economics, and Mathematics. Through this task, they

developed essential life skills while learning how to manage a family’s grocery budget—a valuable

lesson in distinguishing between necessary and non-essential expenses.

On the co-curricular front, our students made us proud at the Chinmaya Vidyalaya Football

Tournament. Both our U-12 Girls' and U-13 and U-17 Boys' teams secured 1st place, displaying

remarkable teamwork and sportsmanship. These achievements highlight the balance we strive to

achieve between academic excellence and extracurricular involvement.

Our focus remains on creating a stimulating environment where every student is encouraged to

think critically and creatively. Initiatives like the Collins Big Cat e-Reading Program continue to

transform how our students engage with reading, offering a dynamic, interactive platform that

fosters independent learning.

Thank you for your continued trust and support as we work towards providing the best possible

learning experiences for your child. Together, we will ensure that GCIS remains a place where

students not only succeed academically but also grow as confident, well-rounded individuals.

Our school has seen remarkable progress across academic

and co-curricular activities, with exciting developments

enhancing the Cambridge curriculum. I’m proud to share that

our Cambridge wing has been buzzing with creativity and

achievement. For instance, our Grade 4 students recently

explored geometry through a hands-on Geo Board activity,

creating various shapes and deepening their understanding

of symmetry, patterns, and angles in a fun, interactive way.

As I reflect on the values that drive our school, I was reminded of a thought-provoking message

I came across on Facebook sometime ago-

“As we grow older and hopefully wiser, we realize that whether we wear an expensive or

inexpensive watch, they both tell the same time; whether we drive a high-end car or a more

economical one, the road and distance are unchanged, and we arrive at the same destination. True

inner happiness doesn’t come from material things. Whether we fly first or economy class, if the

plane goes down – we all go down with it.”

This message resonated with me as it captures the essence of what it means to be truly privileged.

Privilege, in its truest form, is about perspective—choosing to see the beauty in life, the goodness in

people, and the value in the intangible joys that money cannot buy: happiness, family, time with

loved ones, good health, and the appreciation of our surroundings.

In this light, I see GCIS as a profoundly privileged school. While no institution can claim to be

perfect, we are fortunate to have a community of dedicated educators and staff who care deeply for

our students and consistently go above and beyond to support their success. We are privileged to

be part of a large, beautiful campus equipped with modern facilities, and a rigorous curriculum that

challenges our students to think critically, creatively, and independently.

This sense of privilege is not just about what we have, but about how we choose to use it to create

meaningful experiences for our students. As we strive to provide the best education possible, we

are reminded that the true essence of our work lies in the moments that take our breath away—the

small victories, the breakthroughs in understanding, the connections formed, and the growth we

witness in our students every day.

As we move forward with Mr. Venkat Suresh Lolla as our new Executive Principal, I am confident

that we will continue to reach new heights, embracing the privileges we have and creating

countless opportunities for our students to experience those breathtaking moments of discovery,

joy, and growth.

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath

away.”

CAIE's focus on critical thinking, problem solving and exploration along with the strong

foundation in core concepts that my teachers ensured, enabled me to work through two-years

of NCERT textbooks without dropping my board exam scores.

A score of 615/720 on my first attempt at the NEET and subsequent admission into

Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bangalore for my MBBS are a testament to

the same.

Thank you GCIS for equipping me with the knowledge to excel academically, and the belief

that I can achieve anything I set my mind on... for helping me create cherished memories and

achieve not only my goals, but also my dreams!

My journey from GCIS to KIMS

Career Connect

On August 2nd, GCIS welcomed two distinguished speakers: Ms. Nidhi Tripathi, Head of

Admissions, Marketing, and Career Guidance at Nalapad Academy, and Mr. Ashish Gupta,

Director of Admissions at RV University. They offered valuable guidance on selecting the

right career paths for a successful future.

Building on this objective, a University Fair was organized on August 3rd, providing our

students with an exceptional opportunity to interact with representatives from both national

and international universities. This event enabled them to explore a wide range of career

options and make well-informed decisions about their educational and professional futures.
