Our crew members are continuously accessing the

community quite often! They have been to the zoo, had

picnic's, been swimming, museums, restaurants, Five

Points, and other places!

They celebrated Halloween with great costumes, and

also took a trip to Blue Ridge Park! As well as

participated in the Eureka Homecoming Parade!

Woof Therapy Dogs visited for the last time this year

but we are anxiously waiting their return in March!

Our RRR Committee has been working hard to show

appreciation to our staff. They have put together

‘Thank You’ baskets and continue to plan events for

the staff to feel noticed. It is their goal to boost and

keep staff morale higher!

Our individuals recently had portraits taken and candid

shots of them painting a mural! They will get to see their

artwork daily as it will be framed and displayed at CDS.

Some sneak peeks are in this Newsletter!

Our volunteers continue in their efforts of prepping and

delivering for Meals On Wheels and developing our

relationship with the members of St. Mark’s Church! As well

as packaged dog food for Pet Pack Rescue!

We would like to give a special thanks to our sponsors

and participants in our 10th annual Going Green Golf

Outing at Pine Lakes Golf Club. Another successful year in

bringing in over $25,000! THANK YOU!

For tours and visits to our CDS program, email rcrow@addwc.org to

discuss details.

Follow our Facebook to see more of our adventures!

Our Residential Houses have gone bowling,

had a paint party, a poker night and enjoyed

playing bingo. They have also gone to a

Rivermen game! They planned a PJ night to

color and decorate for Christmas!

Our clients are looking forward to the

Holidays as they prepare for

Thanksgiving, participate in Christmas

Activities, and go on more outings. They

will be going to the festival of lights,

going to the Snow-One-Like-You Gala,

and others.

Residential

We welcomed Rena into our CILA program!

The clients spent lots of October

celebrating Halloween with car shows,

trunk or treats, and parties!

PRESIDENT’S CORNER

Another year has nearly passed by, and the holiday season is upon us.

Life gets busy, our stress levels increase and often times lose sight of

just enjoying the moment. On a personal level, I am grateful for the

opportunity to work with an amazing team that strives daily to improve

the lives of the individuals ADDWC serves.

As we look back on a successful year that has seen growth, we must

also look to the future that brings uncertainty to the programs that are

increasingly needed for individuals with developmental and

intellectual disabilities. The landscape that social service agencies

operate within will be undergoing a shift. ADDWC continues to focus

on a strategic plan that will expand its programs so that individuals

continue to be provided vocational training, paid work, community

access and daily living skills in ways that meet their goals. We will also

explore what potential new programs and growth opportunities exist.

ADDWC relies heavily on funding from the State of Illinois. Although

reimbursement rates are timely and increasing, much uncertainty

exists on future funding streams. To continue providing vocational and

residential services, ADDWC needs support from the community. I ask

that you consider joining us in our efforts in supporting adults with

developmental and intellectual disabilities in Woodford County and

the surrounding areas.

There are many ways to consider supporting our mission:

Shop: Select the Association for the Developmentally Disabled of Woodford

County as your nonprofit of choice and round up through Wal-Mart Spark

Good.

CreditCard: Make a gift using PayPal Giving Fund

(paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/1821154).

Mail a check: ADDWC 200 Moody St. Eureka, IL 61530; you may also make

donations specific to our Client Assistance Fund to help with needed supplies

and community outings.

Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds: Notify us of your plan to donate securities to

ADDWC.

Deferred or Planned Gifts: Your gift to ADDWC can also be a useful financial

planning tool at any time of year.

Memorial Gifts: A memorial gift is a thoughtful way to remember a loved one

who has passed away by making a gift in his or her memory.

Bequest: Leaving a deferred gift to ADDWC in a person's will or living trust.

Gifts of Retirement Plans: Naming ADDWC as a primary or contingent

beneficiary of a retirement plan. Your retirement's plan administrator can help

you designate ADDWC as primary or contingent beneficiary

Be creative: Do you own a restaurant or other small business? Do you have

experience with fundraising? Utilize your contacts to help raise awareness and

support our mission.

Take time to learn more about the agency. Visit our website www.addwc.org,

come take a tour or have an ADDWC representative come give a presentation

to your group. ADDWC is grateful for the continued support that we have from

the community and our current donors. No amount donated or fundraising

effort is too small. Every person that joins our efforts is improving the lives of

adults with intellectual disabilities.
